Development Engineer- PPA

A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1.NPD Execution: Execute New Product Development for high-tech EV components including Battery Packs, Motors, Controllers, and Chargers.
2.Quality & Validation: Lead design feasibility studies, quality assurance visits (QAV), and testing validation for the electrical category.
3.Launch Readiness: Facilitate vehicle production trials and multi-sourcing activities to resolve development and production issues.

A Day in the life

You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1.Feasibility & Analysis: Studying drawings, DFMEA, and benchmarking to confirm manufacturing feasibility.
2.Part Verification: Conducting dimensional and functional inspections to ensure regulation compliance and simulations.
3.Process Auditing: Validating process establishments with PQCS, PFMEA, and reviewing CP-CPK and Run@rate.
4.PPAP & QAV: Managing part approvals, PSW approvals, and conducting QAV checksheet reviews.
5.Signal Simulation: Using CAN toolchains to simulate signals across ECUs for component validation and defect management.
6.Supplier Evaluation: Assessing new suppliers and upgrading processes using design and process checklists.
7.Trial Support: Inspecting samples and lots to ensure the availability of "OK" parts for PP1, PP2, and Mass Production.

Academic Qualification & Experience

1.Education: B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering.
2.Experience: Minimum 6–10 years of experience in part development within the automobile industry.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1.EV Systems: Deep understanding of Motors, Controllers, Battery Packs, and Charging systems (On-board/Off-board).
2.Diagnostic Tools: Proficiency in CANoe, vehicle integration, and system architecture.
3.Quality Standards: Mastery of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
4.Signal Simulation: Expertise in simulating signals across Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
5.NPD Planning: Advanced skills in project planning and technical product/process expertise.

Behavioural Skills

1.Problem Solving: Critical thinking and intellectual capability to analyze complex electronic defects.
2.Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with R&D, Sourcing, and Vendor Development teams.
3.Conflict Resolution: Ability to drive closure on discrepancies between cross-functional departments.
4.Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for technical reporting and discussions.
5.Assertiveness: Acting as a Quality Ambassador to ensure strict adherence to technical specs and timelines.
