Job Description

Manager

As a Manager in Tax Knowledge Management, you will lead the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of knowledge management initiatives for the tax function. This role requires advanced expertise in knowledge management, strong leadership to drive a high-performing offshore, and the ability to align knowledge-sharing processes with evolving business and regulatory needs. You will be accountable for adoption of digital and AI tools, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.

Roles & responsibilities

Align Tax KM strategies with business objectives and make informed decisions that drive compliance and growth.Direct the organization, sanitization, and distribution of tax-related content, ensuring materials are current, relevant, and structured for optimal use in AI and digital platforms. Oversee the development and delivery of internal communications, newsletters, and training materials.Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse offshore team of knowledge managers across various sub-groups with wider US TKM team. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and ensure effective succession planning and talent development.Oversee the governance of knowledge repositories, ensuring robust metadata tagging, content integrity, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Lead audits and risk assessments to maintain data accuracy and database hygiene.Champion the integration of generative AI and automation tools to streamline content updates, optimize workflows, and drive digital innovation in knowledge management processes.Serve as the primary liaison between tax leadership, business stakeholders, and the onshore TKM team. Advise senior management on knowledge management strategies, emerging trends, and the impact of regulatory changes.Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by proactively engaging with business leaders, tax teams, and cross-functional partners to understand needs, and communicate prioritiesUtilize advanced analytics (e.g., Power BI) to monitor repository usage, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.Continuously evaluate and enhance knowledge management processes, driving efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business priorities. Lead change management initiatives to support new technologies and methodologies.Develop and deliver training programs on knowledge management tools, content organization, and compliance. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the tax function.Drive team utilization and operational excellence by rigorously tracking planned versus actual hours, analyzing utilization data, and implementing corrective actions to achieve or exceed targets. Lead resource planning and workload management to ensure optimal allocation and high team performance. Champion strong governance by establishing clear processes, upholding compliance, and fostering accountability in daily operations.

14+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role in knowledge management or tax operations.

• Proven expertise in knowledge management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Power BI), AI-powered content management, and process automation.

• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Deep understanding of tax-related knowledge materials, industry terminology, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience leading global or cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

 

Preferred

Prior experience leading global or cross-functional knowledge management teams.

• Deep understanding of tax-related knowledge materials, industry terminology, and regulatory updates.

• Experience in workflow automation and process optimization related to knowledge sharing.

• Familiarity with AI-powered content management tools.

• Proven ability to foster collaboration between onshore and offshore teams in a multinational environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience
