Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Manager to oversee the complete manufacturing operations of compostable carry bags, garbage bags, industrial liners, stretch film, and related products. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and improving daily production activities while ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely dispatches.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
• Ensure timely execution of production targets
• Coordinate with extrusion, printing, cutting, sealing, punching, and packing departments
• Monitor machine utilization and manpower productivity

1. Process Monitoring

• Ensure smooth production flow across all departments
• Reduce downtime, rejection, and wastage
• Monitor production efficiency and output
• Maintain production MIS and reporting systems

1. Quality Control

• Ensure products meet company and client quality standards
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals
• Monitor printing quality, sealing quality, GSM, dimensions, and finish

1. Team Management

• Handle operators, supervisors, helpers, and shift staff
• Assign duties and monitor discipline
• Conduct training for machine handling and SOP compliance
• Maintain healthy work culture and productivity

1. Inventory & Material Control

• Coordinate with stores and purchase departments
• Monitor raw material consumption and wastage
• Ensure proper material issuance and reconciliation

1. Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive maintenance
• Minimize machine breakdowns and production stoppages

1. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure factory safety standards are followed
• Maintain housekeeping and production discipline
• Follow company policies and operational procedures

1. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily production reports
• Track wastage, rejection, efficiency, and output
• Maintain job card and batch-wise production records

Required Skills:

• Strong leadership and team handling skills
• Good understanding of flexible packaging / bag manufacturing
• Knowledge of extrusion, printing, sealing, and roll processing
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Production planning and inventory control knowledge
• Basic computer and Excel knowledge

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years experience in plastic / compostable bag manufacturing
• Experience in handling multiple production departments

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred
