Head – Digital Sales & E-Commerce
Digital-First FMCG | Online Revenue & Channel Ownership
Role Overview
The Head – Digital Sales & E-Commerce will own Vasudha Foods' entire online revenue engine — from quick commerce and marketplaces to D2C and the brand website. This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for digital sell-through, online campaign performance, CRM, inventory planning for digital channels, and website conversion.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in a lean, high-ownership setup and can connect performance marketing to real revenue outcomes — not just impressions and clicks.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Revenue Ownership• Own revenue targets across all online channels: Q-commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart), marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart), D2C website, and emerging platforms
• Set and track monthly and quarterly digital revenue goals by channel and SKU
• Monitor channel-wise and SKU-wise performance; flag and address dips proactively
• Drive growth that is repeat-led and sustainable, not discount-driven
Quick Commerce & Marketplace Management• Manage day-to-day operations and growth levers on Q-commerce and marketplace platforms
• Maintain listing hygiene, content quality, ratings, and in-platform visibility
• Negotiate and manage platform-level promotions, deals, and visibility spends
• Identify channel-wise SKU fit and drive hero SKU focus on each platform
Online Campaign & Performance Marketing• Own CAC, ROAS, and conversion metrics across all paid digital channels
• Plan, brief, and oversee performance campaigns (Meta, Google, in-app ads on platforms)
• Work with external agencies while retaining full internal control over outcomes and budgets
• Ensure every marketing rupee is tied to measurable revenue impact
Website & D2C Management• Own the brand website as a sales and brand-building channel
• Drive improvement in site traffic, conversion rate, average order value, and repeat purchases
• Coordinate with tech/agency partners for website updates, UX improvements, and campaigns
• Manage CRM flows — welcome sequences, cart recovery, repeat nudges, loyalty triggers
CRM & Customer Retention• Build and manage CRM infrastructure (email, WhatsApp, push) for the online customer base
• Segment customers and design targeted communication to improve LTV and repeat rate
• Track cohort behaviour and act on retention insights
Inventory & Supply Coordination for Digital• Forecast digital channel demand and coordinate with Operations for timely replenishment
• Prevent stockouts on key platforms; monitor inventory ageing and returns
• Flag slow-moving or dead inventory early and recommend corrective action
Metrics, Reporting & Decision Support• Own digital dashboards covering revenue, CAC, ROAS, repeat rate, and inventory metrics
• Present clear, decision-oriented updates to the Founder and leadership team
• Identify growth gaps and opportunities through data — not gut feel alone
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Digital revenue growth (MoM / QoQ) by channel
• CAC and ROAS trends across paid channels
• Website conversion rate and D2C repeat purchase rate
• Q-commerce and marketplace ranking and fill rate
• CRM engagement metrics (open rates, repeat revenue from CRM)
• Inventory accuracy and zero-stockout rate on hero SKUs
Candidate Profile
Experience• 5–9 years of experience in digital sales, e-commerce, or D2C for consumer/FMCG brands
• Hands-on experience managing Q-commerce platforms (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart)
• Proven track record running performance marketing campaigns (Meta, Google) with clear revenue attribution
• Experience with CRM tools (Klaviyo, WebEngage, MoEngage, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with website platforms (Shopify or similar) and basic analytics (GA4, heatmaps)
Skills & Mindset• Strong analytical orientation — comfortable reading dashboards and pulling actionable insight
• Commercially sharp: understands unit economics, contribution margins, and channel profitability
• Ability to manage agencies and vendors without losing internal control
• Comfortable in a lean, high-accountability environment where ownership is total
• Clear communicator with founders and senior stakeholders

Reports directly to: Founder
Location: Hyderabad
Work mode: Full-time, on-site leadership role
Offline/GT Sales: Handled separately — this role is purely digital
