Job Title: General Manager – Sales

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: Director / CEO / Managing Director

Location: Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Job Summary

The General Manager – Sales will be responsible for leading and driving the sales function of the organization, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets, market expansion, customer acquisition, and team performance. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing sales teams, building strong customer relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to maximize business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve organizational revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and sales channels to drive growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to formulate effective sales strategies.
  • Prepare and execute sales forecasts, budgets, and annual business plans.

Sales Operations Management

  • Drive sales performance across all residential, commercial, and plotted development projects.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.
  • Review sales reports, pipeline status, and conversion metrics regularly.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and organizational objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve productivity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, investors, channel partners, and brokers.
  • Handle high-value negotiations and close strategic deals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve escalations effectively.

Channel Partner Management

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with channel partners, brokers, and real estate consultants.
  • Design partner engagement and incentive programs to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Evaluate channel partner performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Coordination & Compliance

  • Work closely with Marketing, CRM, Legal, Finance, and Project teams to ensure seamless sales execution.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Monitor documentation and contract processes related to property sales.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present sales performance reports to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data and market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of sales revenue targets.
  • Project-wise inventory sales.
  • Customer acquisition and retention rates.
  • Conversion ratio from leads to bookings.
  • Channel partner productivity.
  • Team performance and employee retention.
  • Customer satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • MBA in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management preferred.

Experience

  • 12–18 years of experience in sales, with at least 5–8 years in a leadership role within the real estate industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing large sales teams and channel partner networks.
