Senior SAP ABAP Developer - GTS & Forms Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role Description:  

The Sr Associate SAP Developer will play a critical role of an ABAP Developer using ABAP on HANA in the GTS system with expert level hands-on experience in FORMS like SAPSCRIPT, SMARFORMS, ADOBE-FORMS, SAP Cloud ADS FORMS. This individual will serve as a technical leader, architecting compliant solutions and guiding development teams to leverage advanced FORM Technologies The role demands strong technical depth in FORMS in both GTS with the ability to mentor junior developers about engineering practices within SAP landscapes. 

Roles & Responsibilities:  

• ABAP Technical Build and Support for SAP GTS, GTS–SAP integrations and OTC by developing enhancements, debug issues, and support testing 

• Collaborate with architects and functional teams OTC, logistics, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into robust, extensible technical solutions  

Basic Qualifications and Experience 

• Doctorate degree OR 

• Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 5 to 7 years of IT or related field experience OR 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 7 to 10 years of IT or related field experience OR 

• Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 11 to 14 years of IT or related field experience 

Must-Have Skills: 

• Strong ABAP / OO ABAP experience 

• Hands-on SAP GTS experience specifically in FORMS 

• Good understanding of OTC processes 

• Experience with IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs 

• Knowledge on GTS–S/4 integration experience 

• Expertise in using SAP ATC and other SAP quality and security tools for code inspection, optimization, and vulnerability detection. 

• Requirement gathering, technical analysis, estimation, design, driving SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades and migration projects. 

Professional Certifications (please mention if the certification is preferred or mandatory for the role): 

SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 

SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP for SAP S/4HANA(preferred) 

Soft Skills: 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively collaborating with functional teams, gathering business requirements, and documenting technical specifications and solutions in a clear and concise manner. 

• High attention to detail in writing, debugging, and maintaining ABAP code, ensuring adherence to best practices, clean core principles, and compliance with SAP development standards. 

• Ability to adapt to evolving SAP technologies and project requirements, staying up to date with the latest advancements while meeting dynamic business needs in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues in complex SAP systems, identify root causes, and provide effective technical solutions that align with business processes. 

• Collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams, SAP consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of custom ABAP solutions that meet organizational goals.
