Steam Iron & Ironing Worker

Job Summary

The Steam Iron Worker is responsible for providing high-quality steam ironing services to customer garments while maintaining premium finishing, hygiene, and quality standards. The role requires careful handling of garments, attention to detail, and timely completion of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

Steam Ironing

Perform professional steam ironing of shirts, trousers, kurtas, sarees, dresses, uniforms, and other garments.

Remove wrinkles and provide a crisp, premium finish.

Handle delicate fabrics carefully without causing burns, shine marks, or damage.

Ensure garments are perfectly pressed before packing.

Garment Inspection

Inspect garments before ironing.

Check for stains, damages, missing buttons, loose stitching, or special care instructions.

Report damaged garments to the Store Supervisor before processing.

Folding & Packing

Fold garments neatly after ironing.

Arrange garments on hangers when required.

Prepare garments for packing and delivery.

Maintain premium presentation standards.

Equipment Handling

Operate steam irons safely and efficiently.

Maintain proper steam pressure and temperature.

Clean and inspect ironing equipment daily.

Report equipment issues immediately.

Quality Control

Ensure every garment meets Dressmatic's Premium Quality Standards.

Prevent garment damage or mix-ups.

Deliver wrinkle-free, professionally finished garments.

Minimize customer complaints through quality workmanship.

Workplace Hygiene & Safety

Keep the ironing station clean and organized.

Follow electrical and fire safety procedures.

Maintain personal hygiene and wear the company uniform.

Use protective equipment when required.

Team Support

Assist with garment sorting and tagging.

Support packing and order preparation.

Coordinate with the Delivery Executive and Store Supervisor.

Help maintain smooth daily operations.

Skills Required

Experience in steam ironing garments.

Knowledge of different fabric types.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work independently.

Good time management.

Basic communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in laundry, dry cleaning, garment finishing, or textile handling is preferred.
