Job Description

Job Summary
This role is for implementing and governing Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) initiatives across the site to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and advancement of a strong safety culture. The position involves driving organizational projects aligned with the Dream Zero Harm framework, elevating safety culture from Level 1 to Level 3, and ensuring adherence to SH&E standards through platforms like SHE Hub/ATS.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive Dream Zero harm (Parivartan-3) Initiatives with the help of line management & Element owners.
  • Implementation of Safety cultural transformation program across the site.
  • Coordination for completion of Process Safety Management system activities.
  • Completion of the Process Hazard Analysis of the runner products.
  • Update BPRs of all running products with Specific PPE inclusion while RM charging.
  • Implementing Process Safety Management system standards and carrying out PHA (Process Hazard Analysis).
  • Completing the Change controls in time with proper recommendations.
  • Fulfilling the Pre Start Up safety review checklist for new projects.
  • Tracker to be maintained related Factories department, Fire & PESO with schedule compliance.
  • Ensuring entire site project safety activities/ Construction activities/ Block Modification works.
  • Maintenance and up keeping of fire protection systems and fire detection systems.
  • Coordinating for site internal & customer audits and maintain the required review documents for site audit readiness.
  • Identifying of training need Analysis requirements for both employees & contactor employees.
  • Compilation & updation of monthly safety reports (TRAININGS, Tool box talks, GEMBA, SOI, CSFA, ZONE safety meeting, Safety committee meetings (SCM), PTW audit).
  • Monitoring of ATS actions for on time tracking & closure, and preparation of monthly reports from Gen suite tracker.
  • To prepare & attend monthly Site APEX & BU level Safety meetings and expedite progress on the action points obtained from all BU level and Corp. Level Safety meetings by coordinating with cross functional teams.
  • Coordinating incident investigations for appropriate CAPA implementation and closure.
  • Implementation of Horizontal CAPA implementation of Major incidents initiatives’, CTO Risks, and expedite the progress by coordinating with cross functional teams.
  • Ensure Safety activities like mock drills, fire drills, safety committee meetings, work place monitoring.
  • Ensuring timely completion of Critical equipment safety inspections checklists and internal audit checklists.
  • To ensure procurement through SAP for Purchase of relevant safety requirements and bill processing.
  • OHC maintenance & maintaining of health checkups records (annual & periodical).
  • Ensuring Shift safety activities for safe & smooth operations.
  • Monitoring DMC & Road safety initiative

Qualifications

Educational qualification: Graduation in Science (Chemistry) or Chemical/ Mechanical, Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is mandatory
Diploma in Industrial Safety (Recognized by SBTET) is mandatory

Minimum work Experience - 10+ years of experience

Critical exposures

  • 5+ years of experience in site-wide safety audits, emergency drills, and CAPA implementation within pharmaceutical/chemical and/or manufacturing industries is desired.
  • Exposure to safety platforms like Gen Suite, ATS, SAP for incident tracking, action closure, and reporting is preferred.
  • Experience in emergency preparedness and emergency mock drills is desired.
  • For General Safety roles: Experience in toolbox talks, shift-wise safety continuity, road safety campaigns, and contractor safety is desired.
  • For Projects & Construction Safety roles: Experience in contractor safety, construction site safety during Emergency Shutdown (ESD), modification, and greenfield/brownfield project activities is desired.
