Floor Supervisor

1. Floor Operations ManagementSupervise overall activities of the assigned floor/ward.

• Ensure smooth patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Coordinate with nursing staff, doctors, housekeeping, maintenance, and billing departments.
• Monitor availability of beds, linens, wheelchairs, and other patient support services.

2. Patient & Attendant CoordinationAddress patient and attendant concerns promptly and professionally.

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction during hospital stay.
• Guide attendants regarding hospital policies, billing procedures, and visiting rules.
• Assist in resolving complaints and escalate major issues to management.

3. Staff SupervisionMonitor attendance, grooming, discipline, and conduct of floor staff.

• Ensure housekeeping and support staff maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Allocate duties and monitor timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Conduct regular rounds of the floor.

4. Quality & ComplianceEnsure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH guidelines, infection control practices, and safety standards.

• Maintain proper documentation and incident reporting.
• Ensure biomedical waste segregation and disposal compliance.

5. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with doctors and nursing teams for patient requirements.

• Inform maintenance department regarding repair and upkeep issues.
• Coordinate during emergencies, VIP visits, and special situations.

6. Monitoring & ReportingPrepare daily reports related to occupancy, complaints, incidents, and floor issues.

• Report unusual incidents or operational concerns to management immediately.
• Maintain records of patient feedback and service issues.
