Job Description
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the hospital’s scheduling system.
Register patients, verify personal and insurance information, and update medical records.
Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure effective patient flow.
Manage waiting room and inform patients of any delays or changes in schedule.
Collect co-pays or payments and provide receipts when necessary.
Assist with general administrative duties including filing, scanning, faxing, and data entry.
