Job Description
The main responsibility of the Accountant is to properly maintain the company’s financial records, manage billing and payment tracking, maintain inventory records, and handle daily accounting activities in a systematic manner. The objective of this role is to maintain transparency in the company’s financial operations, control payment delays, and establish a proper reporting system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Billing & Invoicing
• Prepare GST bills and sales invoices.
• Maintain purchase entries and records.
• Update and manage client billing records.
• Maintain quotations and payment-related documents.
2. Payment & Outstanding Management
• Track outstanding payments from clients.
• Coordinate payment follow-ups with clients.
• Maintain vendor payment schedules.
• Prepare daily payment status reports.
3. Daily Accounts Management
• Maintain cash entries and expense records.
• Handle petty cash management.
• Record daily financial transactions.
• Maintain bank entries and perform bank reconciliation.
4. Inventory & Stock Coordination
• Maintain raw material inventory records.
• Update purchase and stock entries regularly.
• Coordinate with the production department regarding inventory.
• Support stock verification and inventory audits.
• Reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Submit inventory discrepancy reports to management.
5. Financial Reporting
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounts reports.
• Maintain outstanding payment reports.
• Prepare expense analysis reports.
• Maintain basic costing data and records.
6. Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain GST-related documentation.
• Properly file and organize financial records.
• Safely maintain company documents and bills.
• Prepare audit-related documents and records.
7. Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with sales and production departments.
• Handle client communication related to payments.
• Provide regular financial updates to management.
Skills Required
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Knowledge of GST billing procedures.
• Familiarity with Tally and accounting software.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong record management skills.
• Understanding of inventory coordination.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
