Chief Engineer EDD

A purpose driven role for you

To technically manage projects and guide as well help in the building of a highly capable team of engineers, fit fordeveloping existing and new designs and understanding and taking up any future technology. The existing team ofengineers need to be supported in gaining a higher level of technical expertise.

A Day in the life

Engineering Delivery & Project Leadership
Expertise in utilizing standard engineering tools, including Product Specification, Design Review, DFMEA,DVP/SOR, DFA, and DFM, from conceptual through definitive design phases
Proven track record in leading, planning, and delivering complex powertrain and vehicle strategy projects
Skilled in managing technical teams and fostering a culture of technical leadership and continuous qualityimprovement
Engine Development & Technical Expertise
Specialized knowledge of small single-cylinder gasoline engines, including compliance with BSVI emissionstandards and compatibility with Flex-Fuels (E20-E100) and CNG
Focused on "Right First Time" delivery through simulation-driven design and deep-dive technical reviews
Experience in platforming engines to optimize variety and standardization across categories
Strategic Innovation & Market Expansion
Driving future innovation in technologies such as hybrid systems (mild to full), control strategies, AMT, ICVT,GDI, and IVT
Lead global market expansion by adapting products to meet specific local market requirements whilemanaging weight and cost targets
Manage multi-source and Leap lead activities, including DVP and final approvals
Process Improvement & Talent Development
Established internal engine design processes, methodologies, and knowledge bases to strengthenorganizational standards
Committed to developing expertise within the engineering team through structured guidance and fast-tracktraining programs
Collaborating across departments to resolve market quality issues and enhance overall

Academic Qualification & Experience

Masters Engineering Degree ICE/Transmission Specialization
15 -18 Years of Experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Solid internal combustion engine background
Hands on expertise in design/analysis tools including; Catia, ANSYS,etc
Understanding of FEA processes and applications
Understanding powertrain development process
Understanding and experience in design methodology and frontloading
Proven record of (substantial) work on gasoline and 2 wheeler engines and vehicles, particular for highperformance and high efficiency delivery powertrains and associated vehicles.
Expertise in design for cost and production
Knowledge/worked on race product preparation particular for Motor Cross & Rally competition. Particular for 2Wbut 4W acceptable.
Expertise of working in a global context and across continents
Familiar with PLM and PDM systems
High project planning and project management experience
