Mechanical Production Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our team in the food processing machine manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, fabrication, and welding processes, with a particular emphasis on Argon welding. The candidate should also be proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings to ensure efficient production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the production process of food processing machines to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Apply fabrication knowledge to support the manufacturing and assembly of machine components.
• Utilize expertise in Argon welding (TIG welding) to guide and inspect welding processes, ensuring strong and precise welds.
• Interpret and analyze mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to facilitate accurate production.
• Collaborate with design, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production workflow and reduce waste.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare production reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in the manufacturing of food processing machinery or similar heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and welding processes, especially Argon (TIG) welding.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documents.
• Good understanding of production planning and control.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in manufacturing environments.

Preferred:

• Experience with CAD software for mechanical drawing review.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
