VMC Machine Operator

Job Title: VMC Operator (Fanuc Controller)

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator with 2–3 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines with Fanuc control systems. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring machining processes to produce precision components as per technical drawings and quality standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate VMC machines with Fanuc controller to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and finishing operations
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols
• Perform machine setup, including fixture alignment, tool setting, and offset adjustments
• Load and edit CNC programs (G-code/M-code) as required
• Monitor machining processes and make real-time adjustments to ensure accuracy and surface finish
• Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.)
• Maintain proper documentation of production, inspection, and downtime
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work closely with programmers, supervisors, and quality teams
• Required Skills & Qualifications2–3 years of experience as a VMC/CNC Operator
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc control system
• Familiarity with G-code & M-code programming basics
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and tolerances
• Experience with cutting tools, inserts, and tool selection
• Knowledge of measurement tools and inspection techniques
• Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Preferred QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in precision machining or industrial manufacturing
• Exposure to tool offset setting and program optimization
