Design & Estimation Specialist

Job Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in our project estimation and design process. You will be responsible for preparing quotations, responding to inquiries, generating RFQs (Request for Quotations), creating detailed drawings using AutoCAD, and processing orders. Your attention to detail, technical proficiency, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams will be essential to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Estimation:

●    Review project specifications and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.

●    Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to gather necessary information for quotations.

●    Prepare detailed and competitive quotations in a timely manner.

●    Maintain records of all quotations and project documentation.

2.Inquiries and RFQs:

●       Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

●       Generate RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors as needed.

●       Evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing where necessary.

3.AutoCAD Drafting:

●       Create detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD.

●       Ensure that drawings adhere to project specifications and industry standards.

●       Collaborate with engineers and designers to incorporate changes and revisions into drawings.

●       Maintain a library of standard CAD blocks and templates.

4.Order Processing:

●       Coordinate with procurement and production teams to schedule and track orders.

●       Monitor order progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

5.Documentation and Reporting:

●       Maintain organized records of all estimation, drawing, and order-related documents.

●       Generate reports on timelines, and progress as required.

Required Qualifications:

●      Technical degree (Graduate Engineer or Diploma Holder in Engineering). Specialization in Civil, Architecture, or related field will be preferred.

●      Proficiency in AutoCAD software is essential.

●      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

●      Previous experience in estimating and/or drafting roles is highly essential.
