Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to oversee the complete operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth daily functioning, revenue growth, and strong business development. The role includes managing hotel operations, leading teams, securing government catering contracts/orders, and ensuring successful execution and fulfillment of catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, kitchen, maintenance, and guest services.
- Ensure high standards of hospitality, customer satisfaction, and service quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase hotel revenue and occupancy.
- Lead, train, supervise, and motivate staff across all departments.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, inventory, and financial performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with government departments, corporate clients, and vendors.
- Identify, secure, and manage government catering tenders and catering orders.
- Coordinate documentation and bidding processes for government contracts and tenders.
- Plan and oversee execution of catering orders, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Manage vendor procurement and logistics for large-scale catering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations, hygiene standards, safety policies, and licensing requirements.
- Handle guest concerns and operational challenges effectively.
- Prepare reports on operations, sales, catering performance, and business growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 10-15+ years of experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role.
- Experience handling government tenders/catering projects preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and business development skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, operations management, and customer service.
- Ability to manage large teams and multi-department operations.
