QMS Senior Engineer

Experience

Job Summary

Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and OEM standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor the organization's QMS documentation and processes.

Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and internal standards.

Conduct internal process, product, and system audits and coordinate external audits.

Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions, quality manuals, procedures, and records.

Track and drive closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Facilitate root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other quality tools.

Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management review reports.

Coordinate customer audits, certification audits, and compliance activities.

Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC implementation.

Conduct employee training on quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

2–5 years of experience in QMS within the automotive or manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC), and audit processes.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Good analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Industry

Automotive Locksets, Zinc Casting, Plastic Moulding, Die Casting, Auto Components, or OEM Supplier Industry.

QMS documentation accuracy and compliance.

Reduction in quality non-conformities and customer complaints.
