Job Description
Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Channel Sales (IT Hardware)
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra (Branch Office)
Territory: Entire Maharashtra State (Requires regular touring/travel)
About Us: We are a renowned, 10-year-old IT hardware distribution company and proud registered stockists and distributors for industry leaders like Dell and HP. As we continue to grow, we are excited to announce the opening of our new branch in Mumbai. We are looking for an energetic and driven Area Sales Manager to build and expand our channel partner network across Maharashtra.
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly presentable, field-oriented sales professional who thrives on meeting people and building relationships. You will be the face of our newly opened Mumbai branch, responsible for driving channel sales across the entire state of Maharashtra. If you are quick on your feet, excellent at providing prompt pricing to clients, and love being out in the market, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Expansion: Identify, recruit, and manage IT hardware dealers, retailers, and channel partners across Maharashtra.
- Field Engagement: Actively travel and conduct daily field meetings with prospective and existing channel partners to build strong business relationships.
- Sales & Pricing: Respond quickly to partner inquiries, calculate margins, and provide fast, accurate pricing quotes to close deals efficiently.
- Territory Management: Undertake regular touring across Maharashtra to ensure deep market penetration and consistent brand presence.
- Product Representation: Professionally represent our Dell and HP product portfolios, ensuring channel partners are educated on our offerings.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience in Channel/B2B sales.
- Industry Knowledge: An IT hardware background is highly preferred. However, we are open to mature candidates from other industries who possess the aptitude and willingness to quickly learn about IT hardware products.
- Communication Skills: Good overall communication skills with a mandatory requirement of basic English fluency.
- Personality: Highly presentable, confident, and comfortable in a 100% field-based role.
- Travel: Must be willing and able to undertake extensive travel (touring) across Maharashtra.
(Note: This position includes a standard 6-month probation period upon joining).
