Job Description
A Business Development and Sales Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving long-term revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and leading sales teams to hit performance targets. This hybrid role combines the strategic expansion focus of business development with the tactical execution of a sales manager.
Core Responsibilities
The primary duties of this role revolve around market growth, client acquisition, and team leadership. [1, 2]
- Strategic Growth & Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies to expand market share.
- Conduct high-level industry research and competitor analysis to identify untapped segments and new geographic markets.
- Formulate revenue forecasts, annual sales budgets, and long-term growth projections.
- Sales Execution & Lead Management:
- Build and manage a structured sales pipeline, moving prospects from lead generation to signed contracts.
- Identify and qualify high-value leads through networking, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, tailored proposals, and competitive quotes.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations to secure beneficial terms and finalize strategic agreements.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives to enhance their performance and career growth.
- Set clear individual and team KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), such as revenue targets and conversion rates.
- Foster a collaborative environment by working with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales efforts with business goals.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM):
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or renewals.

Requirements and Qualifications
