Job Summary:

 

This strategic role is accountable for the end-to-end management of sourcing and procurement activities for the Toothbrush category, encompassing critical raw materials, packaging, and contract manufacturing. The person will drive significant business results, establish collaborative partnerships, and ensure robust financial performance, customer service, and quality standards. A core mandate of this role is to champion the accelerated adoption of digital transformation and AI-driven insights to define and execute a strategic, efficient, and future-ready sourcing strategy 

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive overall Procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic goals, working closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics, Marketing, and Category teams to maximize financial results.

  • Lead high-stakes and complex negotiations for critical materials and services. Define and implement strategic Cost Models/Insights into CM/Supplier costs utilizing advanced predictive analytics and AI tools to secure substantial cost savings and implement dynamic pricing strategies.

  • Strategically implement and oversee the sourcing budget for the materials under responsibility.

  • Work cross functionally for optimizing raw and packing material inventories against Customer Service and working capital targets at the Colgate toothbrush plant

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and partnership is provided to internal customers (Factory/CM).

  • Oversee all Contract Manufacturing requirements, including complex cross-border sourcing and logistics for contracted materials.

  • Act as the primary interface with supplier’s sales, technical, and executive leadership, aligning Procurement policies, resolving complex issues, and harmonizing service and financial strategies across Colgate’s Supply Chain, Technology, Marketing, and Finance functions.

  • Provide strategic input for “Top to Top” executive meetings and, when necessary, present Procurement performance, forward-looking strategies, and digital roadmap progress.

  • Lead continuous improvement programs with strategic suppliers (ESM/SRSA), focusing on establishing and leveraging digital supplier relationship management platforms for enhanced data exchange and compliance monitoring.

  • Partner with New Product Launch teams to ensure flawless execution of NPD

  • Define and contribute to local and regional 'Funding the Growth' programs, delivering significant annual savings.

  • Champion the adoption of advanced "e-tools" to help drive Funding the Growth, simplification and standardization programs for the subsidiary

  • Ensure strict adherence to Colgate-Palmolive, and governmental guidelines related to EOHS, Quality, and Regulatory for all materials. Proactively develop awareness and influence compliance with local and international laws.

  • Drive self-development in digital procurement technology and AI applications and continue to improve oneself by way of training, information sharing and implementing best practices

  • Participate actively in external industry forums.

  • Develop a sophisticated, documented understanding of global market structure and drivers for critical materials, including a robust risk management framework, utilizing digital risk sensing and monitoring tools to proactively identify and mitigate future opportunities and threats.

Key Regular Responsibilities :

  • Govern the timely delivery and quality of supplies to Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Sricity from CP Approved vendors.

  • Maintain continuous, real-time updates on commodity trends (e.g., PP/PET/Paper Board). Manage external relationships (e.g., RIL) regarding production shutdowns to ensure supply continuity and favorable prices, leveraging AI-based commodity price forecasting and supply chain visibility platforms.

  • Ensure adherence to appropriate documentation and record-keeping standards.

  • Oversee quarterly P3 reconciliation with CMs via BOM updates, verification of invoices, material rates, and Conversion Costs, identifying and implementing opportunities for automating reconciliation processes.

  • Analyze and track Commodity trends to identify strategic buying opportunities.

  • Lead all FCP, Exhibit K, Auctions /RFQ/E Tools events, driving efficiency through the end-to-end digitization of sourcing events.

  • Monitor and track Imported shipments costs on a monthly basis for financial accuracy.

  • Manage comprehensive Risk Mitigation strategies by developing backup supplier strategies and owning complex Contract Manufacturing Agreements.

  • Conduct high-level negotiations for all Key Allotted materials in line with the annual budget.

 

Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc):

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement/Manufacturing/Planning

  • SAP experience an advantage

  • PG Degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or equivalent from Tier 1 institute

  • Well versed in Systems & Analytical skills, with demonstrable experience in digital transformation, AI/ML-driven analytics, and modern e-sourcing platforms(ARIBA/Coupa/iVALUA/ZYCUS) 

  • English language proficiency
