Centralized Research Group (CRG) - Debt Capital Markets (DCM) - Analyst
About the Team:
The Centralized Research Group (CRG) is part of CIB R&A covering Banking globally. It works closely with the firm’s Investment Banking (IB), Commercial Banking (CB) and Global Corporate Banking (GCB) teams offering customized financial solutions across Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity / Debt capital raising, Credit, Treasury, Cash Management, Trade, and Markets, among others.
Role Summary:
As an Analyst in the Centralized Research Group (CRG) - Debt Capital Markets (DCM), you will be part of a dynamic team supporting the Asia region on origination, structuring, and execution of Debt Capital Markets and Liability Management transactions for corporates, financial institutions, sovereigns, and quasi-sovereigns.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Asia Debt Capital Markets teams to support deal origination and execution, and client engagement
- Preparing high‑quality pitch books, proposals, and other marketing materials for client meetings and live transactions
- Synthesize news, financial reports, and company information to prepare client updates and internal reports
- Analyze credit and financial conditions of clients
- Perform financial modeling and financial analysis (e.g. help build company cash flow and liability management models)
- Conduct company, industry, macroeconomic, and market research, and perform extensive due diligence to support credit views and potential rating considerations
- Perform credit analysis and prepare detailed credit memos / approval packages for internal review
- Maintaining transaction trackers, market updates, and internal knowledge repositories; ensuring consistent, high‑quality deliverables
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Excellent academic record
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Investment Banking, Credit Risk, Big Four transaction advisory/valuations, or related analytical roles
- CA or MBA qualification
- Self-starter with a proven track record
- Strong analytical foundation and corporate finance knowledge; good understanding of fixed income
- Proficiency in financial modeling and credit analysis; ability to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable insights
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfort with large datasets and visual storytelling
- Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards of precision
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear, client‑ready materials
- Well organized; able to manage projects independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively in a team
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and meet time‑sensitive deadlines
- Professionalism, integrity, and adherence to regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Prior credit or fixed income experience (DCM, ratings advisory, credit risk) is a plus
- Familiarity with market/data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, LoanConnector, Dealogic, Capital IQ or similar)
- Pursuing or completed additional financial certifications such as CFA or FRM
