As an Engineering Specialist - - Applications and Software for Baker Hughes, you will be responsible for building and enhancing modern web applications, with a primary focus on frontend development and the ability to contribute to backend integrations as needed. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role working closely with product, QA, and platform teams

As an Engineering Specialist - - Applications and Software, you will also be responsible for:

• Strong hands‑on experience with Angular and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of Java for backend services, APIs, and full‑stack support
• Solid understanding of design patterns, frontend architecture, and clean code
• Ability to build performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions
• Experience adhering to architecture standards and technical guidelines
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud‑native concepts
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and SAST/DAST scans
• Strong communication and collaboration within cross‑functional teams
• Nice‑to‑have: Python knowledge and experience supporting automation or data use cases

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have strong hands‑on experience with Angular and JavaScript

• Have 6+ years of hands‑on software development experience

• Have working knowledge of Java for backend services, APIs, and full‑stack support

• Have solid understanding of design patterns, frontend architecture, and clean code

• Have ability to build performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions

• Have experience adhering to architecture standards and technical guidelines

• Have familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud‑native concepts

• Have experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and SAST/DAST scans

• Have strong communication and collaboration within cross‑functional teams

• Nice‑to‑have: Python knowledge and experience supporting automation or data use cases
