We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Manager - Research

We will count on you to:

• Support seniors and leadership team to set the strategic direction and expand the capabilities, scale and scope of the team through intensive, hands-on leadership

• Work on advisory engagements, by providing support on specialty (insurance) services

• Drive and deliver high-impact advisory engagements. Incubate new research, data analytics and benchmarking capabilities, enable innovation, drive organization wide initiatives and expand the range of proprietary knowledge assets

• Relevant experience in insurance sector and understanding of various specialty lines like Construction, Marine, Risk engineering, Power and Energy among others

• Support in delivery of the team on research and advisory projects by monitoring performance to ensure productivity, timeliness and quality of reports

• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders through high quality project delivery, responsiveness and agile and clear communication. counsel consultants and clients on the scope of the business and economic trends surrounding the issue, and provide insights and analysis

• Share relevant subject matter expertise to support the development of thought leadership on specialty areas

• Build solutions that is a combination of quantitative and qualitative inputs and techniques

• Leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts, to respond efficiently to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights to our consulting teams and clients

• Support teams on developing for Request for Proposal (RFP) asks and able to create the template response to the RFPs as per the need

What you need to have:

• Masters / Bachelors in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / sustainability, corporate responsibility, or finance, environmental science, business administration, sustainability, economics, or related field.

• 3 to 6 years of experience in strategy advisory, research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary) experience, at a leading professional services / consulting firm / market intelligence / research firm

• Experience in consulting projects and conducting independent secondary research

• Deep understanding of global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, technological developments, global supply chain, and key business and financial risks

• Strong ability to weave a story using multiple data points. Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills

• Strong awareness on insurance areas and broking business

• Strong foundation of qualitative and quantitative research including clarity on statistical concepts with ability to translate data into meaningful insights

• Great written and verbal communication

• A team player with extraordinary interpersonal skills

• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

What makes you stand out?

• Understanding of insurance related concepts, good to have certification like CII Dip etc.

• Familiarity with core statistical concepts e.g., correlation, regressions, significance values, etc.

• Exposure, experience in risk consulting related research or advisory support in related verticals would be preferred

• Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in analytical techniques, processes and output
