Long Description 1

Purpose of Position

The job incumbent is responsible to lead the Company’s business in Maharashtra and Goa market (Infrastructure, Real Estate, Retail, Hotel, Hospital etc) as per organizational goals.  He/she is responsible for all opening in various segment and domain of market including creating and building opportunity related to the building & infrastructure business of Bureau Veritas INDIA. His area of responsibility also monthly reporting on the sales results and progress. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management of his/her staff and business.

Major Responsibilities

  • Preparation of business plan and annual budgets in agreement with 2028 plan and organizational objectives of Maharashtra and Goa.
  • Building sales pipeline in the B&I business and expand business horizon across above mentioned 02 states of India.
  • Recognising the prospective clients and create a detail data base. Early identification and follow up of major projects, opportunities & tenders from various sources.
  • Work proactively with the sales team of the zone and convert sales leads and opportunities into executable contracts.
  • Support to be given to tender team about Identification, submission of pre-qualification, expression of interest, offers etc.
  • Visiting prospective clients to present BV services and to identify the client need as an opportunity to BV, follow up actions and keeping the respective division heads in communication loop.
  • Efficient in using the marketing tools such as presentation material, company profile, service sheets, reference list, completion/appreciation letters, etc.
  • Interacting with the other Zonal Business Development managers of intra Business Lines /Zones for mutual exchange of expertise, work, common clients and other references.
  • Build up top level relations with key EPC players in the area of responsibilities and personally manage a few large accounts.
  • Developing partners and creating reference will be the priority. Bringing like minded sub con which support business.
  • Organise dedicated PR and Marketing events foreseen in budget.
  • Competitor mapping and understanding of market dynamics related cost of specific service.
  • Ensure performance in line with the Bureau Veritas System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV corporate standards in the area of responsibility (e.g. BV Values, corporate identity, policies, and procedures).

Roles & Responsibilities for HSE

  • Responsible for compliances of all applicable statutory laws and regulations as well as Group HSE policies and procedures etc. in relation to Health safety and environment and workmen employment.
  • Responsible to take reasonable care on health and safety at his own, colleagues and others working surroundings.
  • Responsible to report promptly to immediate superior on any abnormalities and incidents found related to Health Safety and Environment

Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

  • Sales & other financials as per business plan
  • Client relationship – Retention and Growth
  • Geographical expanses
  • Association and empanelment with various govt bodies
  • Creating opp pipeline in Infra, Data Center and sustainability market
  • Development and management of talent within BnI business Line

Qualification and Experience          

  • Graduate engineer (preferably Civil Engineer) with min. 15 yrs+ of industry experience (Marketing & Sales) in the Infra/Real Estate market.
  • MBA in Business management will be an added advantage.
  • Should have dealt with both Public sector companies and Private sector companies for tendering, negotiations and finalizations.
  • Knowledge of business line, competition etc.

Skills & Qualities:

  • Should be a ‘Go to Market’ attitude personnel with ability to connect people, client contacts at higher level & should be able to convert contacts into business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills
  • Demonstrated good leadership qualities including presentation and communication skill.
  • Strategic & Financial Planning skills
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software.
