Job Purpose: This role is responsible to manage the operational integrity and reliability of control and instrumentation systems of a Turbine. This role involves on-field execution of maintenance activities, scheduling and executing precise calibrations, providing technical support and ensuring that all equipment is meticulously monitored and maintained according to established checklists. The lead is pivotal in maintaining the continuous, efficient operation of turbine systems through proactive management and hands-on technical expertise.
System Availability and Maintenance:
Manage the availability of C&I systems related to CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, Air compressors and PA systems.
Conduct on-field regular maintenance and inspections of the CHP area to prevent system failures and prolong equipment life.
Schedule and execute routine backups of PLC systems to safeguard against data loss and ensure system recoverability.
Manage the timely calibration of Belt weigher systems to maintain accurate measurement and operational efficiency.
Manage the healthiness of fire sensors and detection systems through regular monitoring and proactive maintenance.
Coordinate with business associates for CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, and PA systems to ensure seamless operations and maintenance of systems.
Provide on-field support for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Zero Forced Outage (ZFO) to enhance system reliability.
Implement MoC (Management of Change) protocols to ensure safe and compliant modifications to equipment and processes.
Budget, Inventory and Documentation Management:
Provide requirements focusing on the needs of C&I systems for CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, and PA systems to ensure budget management.
Prepare and manage spares and inventory, executing the development of indigenous spares for cost optimization.
Manage documentation and as-built drawings for the section.
Business Sustainability:
Implement and Follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines within the department, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence.
Actively participate in the execution of the DISHA process, integrating best practices into daily operations.
Develop growth of Contractor Supervisors and Technicians by facilitating knowledge transfer.
Maintain the safety of personnel, including business associates and equipment through rigorous training and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain a thorough understanding of PLC systems for CHP and Fire systems to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
Implement field related ZFO to achieve zero human error and maintain the highest quality standards.
Ensure the implementation of and compliance with proper work permit systems for operational safety and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to statutory compliances and regulations.
Digitization and Automation:
Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency across all C&I systems.
Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas to stay ahead of industry trends.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in C&I or Electronics & Communication.
Work Experience (Range of years):
8+ years of experience in control and instrumentation within the power generation or related industry.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in power generation, or related process industries with a focus on control and instrumentation systems.
