Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef who will be responsible for managing the entire kitchen team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role focuses on team supervision, consistency in food quality, and efficient kitchen management rather than high-level executive planning.
- Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure timely food preparation and service
- Supervise, guide, and coordinate the work of all chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all dishes
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
- Manage kitchen workflow, staff scheduling, and task delegation
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for supplies
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve efficiency and skills
- Minimize wastage and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations
- Address any operational issues in the kitchen promptly
- Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as a Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Hands-on approach with a focus on execution and consistency
- Preferred Qualifications:Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field
- Experience in managing multi-cuisine kitchens (if applicable)
- Key Expectations:A team player who leads by example
- Focus on operational excellence rather than just creativity
- Ability to maintain discipline and coordination within the kitchen team
