Title: Head Chef

Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef who will be responsible for managing the entire kitchen team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role focuses on team supervision, consistency in food quality, and efficient kitchen management rather than high-level executive planning.

  • Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure timely food preparation and service
  • Supervise, guide, and coordinate the work of all chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all dishes
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Manage kitchen workflow, staff scheduling, and task delegation
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for supplies
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve efficiency and skills
  • Minimize wastage and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations
  • Address any operational issues in the kitchen promptly
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as a Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on execution and consistency
  • Preferred Qualifications:Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field
  • Experience in managing multi-cuisine kitchens (if applicable)
  • Key Expectations:A team player who leads by example
  • Focus on operational excellence rather than just creativity
  • Ability to maintain discipline and coordination within the kitchen team
