Job Description
Job Title: Retail Pharmacist
Location: Navi Mumbai
Experience: 1–5 years
Qualification: B.Pharm / D.Pharm with valid pharmacy license
Job Summary:A Retail Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring safe and effective use of drugs, and providing guidance to patients/customers in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Key Responsibilities:Dispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately
- Review prescriptions for correctness and drug interactions
- Counsel patients on dosage, usage, side effects, and precautions
- Maintain proper storage and inventory of medicines
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Handle billing, labeling, and documentation
- Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals when required
- Monitor expiry dates and manage stock rotation (FIFO)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
- Required Skills:Good knowledge of medicines and drug interactions
- Strong communication and customer handling skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer knowledge (billing software)
- Ability to work in shifts
- Preferred Skills:Experience in retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy
- Knowledge of generic medicines and substitutes
- Sales and upselling skills
Salary:₹1.8 LPA – ₹3.5 LPA (depending on experience)
- Working Hours:8–10 hours shift (may include weekends)
- Other Requirements:Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration
- Good ethical practice and patient-focused approach
