Job Description

Key and responsibilities

  • Pastry Production: Prepare, bake, and decorate cakes, pastries, plated desserts, chocolates, and bread according to recipes and standards.
  • Section Management: Oversee the daily operations of the pastry station, ensuring efficiency and consistency in all items served.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop new, creative seasonal desserts.
  • Quality Control & Safety: Adhere strictly to Food Safety and Standards (e.g., HACCP) regulations, ensuring proper storage, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels of pastry ingredients, inventory, and equipment, reducing waste.
  • Training & Leadership: Train and mentor commis chefs and kitchen porters, guiding them on techniques and efficiency
