Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented School Books Editor to develop, edit, and improve academic content for school textbooks and educational materials. The candidate should be capable of using books, internet resources, curriculum guidelines, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to create accurate, engaging, and curriculum-aligned content for students.

Key Responsibilities

Edit, proofread, and improve school textbook content for different subjects and classes.

Develop age-appropriate educational material according to CBSE, ICSE, State Board, or NEP guidelines.

Conduct research using reference books, internet sources, journals, and educational platforms.

Use AI tools for:

content drafting,

grammar correction,

idea generation,

worksheet creation,

question bank preparation,

plagiarism checking,

and formatting assistance.

Ensure accuracy of facts, grammar, language, and subject concepts.

Simplify complex topics into student-friendly language.

Coordinate with subject experts, designers, illustrators, and layout teams.

Review illustrations, activities, exercises, and assessments for educational relevance.

Maintain consistency in style, terminology, formatting, and academic standards.

Update content according to the latest syllabus and educational trends.

Prepare teacher manuals, worksheets, solutions, and supplementary learning resources when required.

Required Skills

Excellent command of English language and grammar.

Strong editing, proofreading, and content development skills.

Knowledge of school curriculum and educational publishing standards.

Ability to research effectively using books and reliable online sources.

Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and other educational/content tools.
