Electronics Technician

Role

Test and check electronic products used in the electrical field (e.g., panels, controllers, meters, relays) on the testing jig and also help with basic field validation. Follow checklists, record results, and report defects.

Responsibilities

• Set up test bench: connect power supply, loads, sensors, and wiring.
• Perform manual tests: power-on, buttons/LEDs/display, inputs/outputs/relays, alarms, basic communication (RS-485/Modbus) as instructed.
• Do simple electrical checks: voltage, current, continuity, polarity, earthing.
• Record results in Excel/Google Sheets; keep daily test logs.
• Mark and report faults with clear notes, photos, and unit serial numbers.
• Re-test units after repair; update pass/fail status and stickers.
• Follow safety rules (PPE, ESD mat/wrist strap, no live work beyond SOP).
• Support basic field trials/installation checks when required.

Must-have Skills

• Use of DMM/clamp meter, DC power supply, basic tools (screwdriver, crimper, wire stripper).
• Read simple wiring diagrams and connection drawings.
• Basic PC skills: Excel, email; comfort with serial terminal software.(optional)
• Clear, neat documentation; ability to follow checklists and work instructions.
• Simple soldering/rework of connectors and wires.

Good-to-have (plus points)

• Basic knowledge of RS-485/Modbus or CAN (reading IDs, baud rate setting).
• Experience with control panels, water level controllers, meters, or protection relays.
• Two-wheeler for local site visits; Hindi/English communication.

Working Conditions

• Lab/shop-floor role; occasional customer-site visits.
• Day shift; flexibility during dispatch/release.
• Strict adherence to electrical safety and ESD practices.
