Job Description – Finance Controller

Ø Managing and oversaw all accounting, finance, and control functions within the company.

Ø Handling legal cases related to consumer forum, direct and indirect taxes, coordinated with consultants and legal advisors for preparing replies to Statutory authorities.

Ø Finalizing agreements with vendors after thorough vetting by the legal team and presented the approved agreements to the Director for final review and approval.

Ø Developing comprehensive employee policies and reimbursement guidelines to enhance organizational compliance and employee satisfaction.

Ø Ensuring strict adherence to state and central statutory compliances consistently meeting all deadlines.

Ø Ensuring comprehensive support for External Audit, Internal Audit and other audit processes facilitating smooth coordination, timely responses to audit requests and compliance with all audit requirements.

Ø Conducting monthly discussions with employees on accounting, legal and tax issues; addressing queries with practical result oriented solutions to ensure clarity and compliance.

Ø Ensuring company’s database is backed up monthly and saved in a well-organized structure and format to guarantee data integrity and easy retrieval.

Ø Preparing employee workflows along with their monthly reports, budget plans, payment schedules and Management Information System (MIS) reporting formats for presentation to the Directors and CFO.

Ø Preparing monthly financial statements and variance analyses for revenue and expense, enabling leadership to make informed strategic decisions.

Ø Monitoring and improving key profitability metrics: gross margin, contribution margin per channel/platform, and net profit.

Ø Owning monthly and annual P&L for the e‑commerce business, ensuring revenue, COGS, fees and overheads are correctly captured and analysed.

Ø Plan and monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for inventory, marketing and operations while maintaining healthy cash buffers.
