Job Profile – E-commerce Packing, Inventory & Dispatch Executive

Department - Operations / Warehouse

Reports To - Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The E-commerce Packing, Inventory & Dispatch Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfillment, quality packing, inventory handling, and timely dispatch of customer orders. The role requires maintaining inventory accuracy, following packaging standards, coordinating with courier partners, and ensuring smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Processing

• Get the correct products packed as per order invoices.
• Verify product quantity, SKU, size, color, and variant before packing.
• Ensure zero order mismatch.
• Generate FSN label stickers

2. Product Packing

• Pack products according to company packaging standards.
• Use appropriate protective materials to avoid transit damage.
• Apply barcode labels, shipping labels, invoices, and promotional inserts.
• Ensure secure packaging.

3. Dispatch Management

• Prepare shipments for courier pickup/ Truck dispatch.
• Coordinate with courier partners for timely dispatch.
• Ensure all orders are dispatched within timelines.

4. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate stock records.
• Update inventory.
• Perform daily stock reconciliation.
• Report low stock, damaged stock, and discrepancies.
• Assist in cycle counts and monthly physical inventory.

5. Warehouse Organization

• Maintain proper storage locations.
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Ensure products are stored without damage.

6. Quality Control

• Inspect products before packing.
• Check packaging quality before dispatch.
• Identify defective or damaged products.
• Ensure only quality-approved products are shipped.

7. Returns Handling

• Receive returned products.
• Inspect returned goods.
• Update inventory after quality verification.
• Separate damaged and saleable stock.

9. Equipment & Material Management

• Monitor packing material inventory.
• Inform management when packing supplies are low.
• Ensure proper use of printers, barcode scanners, weighing machines, and label printers.

10. Team Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement, customer support, and warehouse teams.
• Support process improvements to increase operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate or 12th Pass (minimum)
• 1–3 years of experience in e-commerce warehouse operations (preferred)
• Experience with Excel
