Job Description

  • 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Lead Generation & Cold Calling
  • Industrial Mapping: Scientifically build and maintain a dynamic database of target factories producing alloy waste (e.g., forging units, automotive component plants, petrochemical refineries, pharmaceutical labs, heat-treatment shops).
  • Cold Outreach & Pitching: Conduct high-volume phone and digital outreach to cross-functional plant authorities: Head of Stores, Commercial Purchase Managers, and Plant Maintenance Engineers.
  • Bypassing Gatekeepers: Position the company as a technical "Resource Recovery Partner" rather than a local scrap merchant to secure immediate appointments for material evaluation.
  • B. On-Site Material Verification & Technical GradingOn-Site Chemistry Profiling: Travel to target plant sites at short notice. Physically inspect mixed scrap piles and turnings using necessary tools.
  • Yield & Margin Calculation: Instantly analyse material composition.
  • Contamination Mitigation: Ensure zero cross-contamination of lots at the loading point. Identify and isolate tramp materials, excessive moisture, or cutting oils before finalizing the purchase sheet.
  • C. Commercial Closing & Plant Bureaucracy NavigationKYC & Vendor Empanelment: Lead the tedious legal and paperwork process required to get empanelled as an official scrap buyer/contractor for major corporate houses and manufacturing plants.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate periodic or annual "Rate Contracts" for regular production scrap or close spot deals on massive project-based plant shutdowns.
  • D. End-to-End Logistics CoordinationLifting & Loading Supervision: Physically witness the loading process at the factory gate to ensure the validated material is exactly what is being loaded onto the vehicles.
  • Transit Security:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure total compliance regarding GST documentation, E-Way bills, and Hazardous Waste Management permits (where applicable) for seamless state-border crossing.
  • 3. Professional Requirements & CompetenciesExperience: 2-10 years of core experience in industrial metal procurement or commercial scrap lifting in India. Freshers are also welcome
  • Technical Literacy: Must be able to operate an XRF gun fluently and interpret metallurgical data profiles instantly.
  • Language & Negotiation Fluency: Hindi and English are mandatory. Ability to talk comfortably with a corporate Head of Procurement on a Zoom call, and negotiate aggressively with a yard supervisor at the factory gate on the same day.
