Salesforce Technical Architect – Sales & Aftermarket

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the technical design and implementation of Salesforce solutions for global Sales and Aftermarket transformation program.
The role will focus on architecting scalable, secure, and integrated Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, Dealer/Partner, and Aftermarket processes, supporting ZF’s vision to establish Salesforce as a global strategic CRM platform, replacing legacy systems and enabling standardized enterprise processes.

Salesforce Architecture & Design
•    Own the end to end technical architecture of Salesforce solutions across Sales and Aftermarket domains
•    Define and govern Salesforce org strategy, data model, security, and integration patterns
•    Design solutions leveraging: 
o    Sales Cloud
o    Service Cloud
o    Experience Cloud (Dealer/Partner Portals)
o    Manufacturing Cloud / Automotive extensions (where applicable)

Integration & Enterprise Landscape
•    Architect integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems such as: 
o    SAP (ECC / S4HANA) – orders, pricing, installed base, warranty
o    ERP, MDM, pricing, and aftermarket service systems
•    Define integration patterns using: 
o    REST / SOAP APIs
o    Middleware (MuleSoft or equivalent)
o    Near real time and batch synchronization
•    Ensure reliable handling of high volume transactional and aftermarket data

Data, Security & Performance
•    Define data migration strategy from MS Dynamics / legacy CRMs to Salesforce
•    Ensure enterprise grade: 
o    Performance
o    Data quality
o    Security (GDPR, role based access, partner access)
•    Architect scalable solutions for global rollout across regions

Technical Leadership & Governance
•    Act as technical authority for the ZF Salesforce program
•    Review and approve technical designs, code, and deployments
•    Define development standards, best practices, and CI/CD pipelines
•    Support release planning and production readiness reviews

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
•    Work closely with: 
o    Business architects and functional leads
o    Salesforce product owners
o    ZF IT and enterprise architecture teams
•    Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
•    Support technical discussions with Salesforce and system integrator partners

Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory Experience
•    14+ years of Salesforce implementation experience
•    5+ years in a Salesforce Technical Architect role
•    Strong hands on expertise in: 
o    Apex, LWC, Flows, Platform Events
o    Salesforce security and sharing model
o    Complex data models and automation
•    Proven experience delivering Salesforce solutions for: 
o    Manufacturing / Automotive / Industrial clients
o    Sales and Aftermarket / Service operations
•    Experience with global rollouts and multi org or large single org strategies

Integration & Platform Skills
•    Strong experience integrating Salesforce with SAP and other ERPs
•    Experience with MuleSoft or equivalent middleware preferred
•    Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and release automation for Salesforce

Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred)
•    Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Preferred
•    Salesforce System Architect & Application Architect certifications
•    Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Consultant certifications.
