Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Assist in food preparation and cooking as per assigned level
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and workstations
- Follow standard recipes and portion control
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Support senior chefs during service
- Maintain quality, presentation, and consistency of dishes
- Minimize wastage and follow food safety guidelines
- Coordinate with team for smooth kitchen operations
Role-wise Expectations:
- Commis III: Basic prep work, cleaning, and assisting senior staff (0–1 year / fresher)
- Commis II: Prepare dishes under supervision, handle section with guidance (1–3 years)
- Commis I: Independently manage section, ensure quality & guide juniors (3+ years)
Requirements:
- Basic to advanced knowledge of kitchen operations (as per level)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Prior hotel/restaurant experience preferred
- Working Conditions:Rotational shifts including weekends & holidays
- Long standing hours in a busy kitchen
