Job Description
Assistant Store Manager – Retail
Experience: 4–6 years
We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager from a retail, wellness, or customer-facing background to support daily store operations and deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Traya is an Indian direct-to-consumer hair care platform that provides a holistic treatment for individuals experiencing hair loss. Through personalized consultations, we identify the root cause of hair fall using a combination of Ayurveda, Allopathy, and Nutrition. Our unique diagnostic platform, combined with medically trained hair coaches and proprietary tech, ensures customers receive customized solutions delivered right to their doorstep — and the ongoing guidance they need to stay on track. Founded by Saloni Anand (techie-turned-marketeer) and Altaf Saiyed (Stanford GSB alumnus), Traya’s mission is to de-stigmatize hair loss, address its emotional and psychological impact, and make effective treatment accessible to all.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer ExperienceEnsure every customer is welcomed and guided through their visit in a warm and professional manner
- Understand customer concerns and support them through consultations and treatment journey
- Assist in explaining treatment plans, product usage, and recommendations
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat visits
- Handle customer queries, concerns, and escalations effectively
- Ensure consistent follow-ups and engagement for a seamless experience
- Store Operations & Team Management (Additional ASM Responsibilities)Ensure smooth day-to-day store/clinic operations
- Manage store opening/closing, hygiene, and overall upkeep
- Supervise and guide the team (Hair Coaches and support staff)
- Manage appointments, walk-ins, and escalations efficiently
- Coordinate with doctors, backend teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Maintain shift rosters and ensure team productivity
- Sales & Business OwnershipDrive store performance and support achievement of revenue targets
- Guide the team on product understanding, usage, and upselling
- Ensure strong focus on conversions, repeat business, and customer retention
- Reporting & Inventory ManagementTrack daily footfall, conversions, and maintain MIS reports
- Ensure accurate inventory management and timely replenishment
- Maintain data accuracy and reporting discipline
- What We’re Looking ForGraduates (Mandatory)
- 4–6 years in retail / store / customer-facing roles
- Minimum 2+ years of team handling experience
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets
- Comfortable with CRM/tools and daily reporting
- High ownership, accountability, and proactive mindset
