VMC Machine Operator

Job Description (JD) – VMC Operator (Tool Room)Position: VMC OperatorDepartment: Tool RoomExperience: 1 to 7 YearsMachine: Mazak / Mitsubishi VMCKey Responsibilities:Operate VMC machines (Mazak, Mitsubishi) as per production requirements.Read and understand engineering drawings and process sheets.Perform machine setting, tool setting, and job loading/unloading.Monitor machining operations and ensure dimensional accuracy.Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Dial Gauge.Inspect finished components as per drawing specifications.Maintain production records and inspection reports.Perform routine machine maintenance and report breakdowns.Follow safety procedures, 5S, and company quality standards.Coordinate with Tool Room and Quality departments for process improvements.Required Skills:Knowledge of Mazak and Mitsubishi VMC machines.Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining processes.Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.Experience in Tool Room, Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures, Moulds, or Precision Components.Basic knowledge of CNC programming and offset correction preferred.Qualification:ITI Machinist / Turner / Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Preferred Experience:Tool Room manufacturing environment.Machining of tool steel, fixture components, and precision parts.Location: Chinchwad MIDC, PuneExperience: 1–7 YearsSalary: As per experience and interview performance.
