Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Restaurant Accountant to manage daily financial operations, monitor costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and a strong understanding of restaurant-specific accounting practices such as inventory control, cost of goods sold, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:Maintain daily financial records including sales, expenses, and cash flow

• Reconcile daily POS (Point of Sale) transactions with cash, card, and online payments
• Monitor food and beverage costs and analyze variances
• Manage accounts payable (vendor invoices, supplier payments) and receivable
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements and financial reports
• Track inventory and coordinate with kitchen and store staff to reduce wastage
• Ensure accurate payroll processing, including tips and service charges
• Handle GST compliance, tax filings, and statutory requirements
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for restaurant operations
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 1–3 years of accounting experience (restaurant/hospitality preferred)
• Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books)
• Understanding of inventory management and cost control
• Familiarity with GST and local tax regulations

Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in restaurants, cafés, or hospitality businesses

• Professional certification (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of payroll systems and labor cost tracking
