Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating sales for solar rooftop projects through field visits, outdoor marketing activities, and handling digital leads received from various platforms. The role involves meeting potential customers, explaining solar solutions, and converting inquiries into confirmed projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Lead Generation
- Generate new leads for rooftop solar projects (Residential, Commercial & Industrial).
- Meet potential customers and explain the benefits of solar energy systems.
- Conduct site visits and gather basic details required for solar installation.
- Prepare quotations and proposals and close sales deals.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
2. Outdoor Marketing
- Conduct door-to-door marketing in residential societies and commercial areas.
- Visit industries, shops, offices, and housing societies to promote solar solutions.
- Participate in exhibitions, promotional events, and marketing campaigns.
- Distribute brochures, pamphlets, and marketing materials to potential clients.
- Build relationships with builders, architects, electricians, and contractors for referrals.
3. Digital Lead Handling
- Handle customer inquiries received through website, social media, Google ads, and other online platforms.
- Call and follow up with digital leads to understand customer requirements.
- Maintain proper records of leads and follow-ups.
- Convert digital inquiries into confirmed sales opportunities.
4. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the design and technical team for site survey and project feasibility.
- Provide customer information to the project team for installation planning.
- Maintain daily sales reports, customer database, and follow-up records.
- Report sales activities and progress to the Sales Manager.
Required Skills
- Good communication and convincing skills.
- Strong interest in field sales and outdoor marketing.
- Basic knowledge of solar energy systems is preferred.
- Ability to manage digital leads and customer follow-ups.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, CRM tools).
Qualifications
- Any Graduate / Diploma, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in Sales / Marketing.
- Experience in solar, electrical, or technical product sales will be an added advantage.
