AC Technician

An Air Conditioning (AC) Technician installs, maintains, and repairs residential and commercial cooling and refrigeration systems. They diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform routine preventative maintenance like cleaning coils and checking refrigerant levels, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning: Safely install, assemble, and test new air conditioning units (split, window, VRF, and central air).
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Inspect systems to identify leaks, electrical malfunctions, and compressor or airflow issues.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine servicing (filter cleaning, washing coils, clearing drains) and replace faulty parts like capacitors, motors, and thermostats.
• Refrigerant Management: Safely handle, recover, weigh, and charge refrigerants according to environmental and manufacturer standards.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to building codes, safety guidelines, and lock-out/tag-out procedures while working at heights or in confined spaces.
