Application Development and Support Specialist - Mendix Platform

Vertiv is focusing on overhauling the technology landscape of the Service business by rewriting the application ecosystem needed for our Customer Engineer activities for pre-visit, during the visit, and post-visit activities on the field.

This role is part of the CoE application area with the goal of implementing bugfixes and enhancements to the Connected CE application with dedicated skills to the Mendix platform. It will also mentorship the "Business" side developers.

Context and activities are international and global in scope, with the need to engage with diverse global functions and cultures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (List the major or most important job duties in order of most important to least important.)

•     Develop new enhancements over the platform

•     Troubleshooting and bugfixing of open issues

•     Perform QA for new applications release

•     Support release process (create new application build, …)

•     Update product documentation

•     Interact with external vendor

•     Mentor Business developments

•     Managers or technical persons in the IT Department

•     Managers or functional persons in the Service line of business

•     3rd Party Vendors

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: (Special conditions required of the job such as travel, driver’s license, physical working conditions.)

•     Occasional international travel may be required – up to 1 per year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required.)

•     Fluency in English (oral and written)

•     Excellent knowledge of the Mendix low-code-no-code platform

•     Good knowledge of web services, RESTful principles, and an understanding of microservices

•     Good knowledge of interfaces to third-party systems (ERP, CMS, etc.)

•     Good knowledge of React-Native

•     Good knowledge of Native app technologies

•     Good knowledge of IT applications architecture

•     Good knowledge of Jira

•     Basic knowledge of ITSM processes

•     Basic knowledge of IT infrastructures

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (The minimum education, certification, special training and years of experience required to do a satisfactory job.)

•     Preferred Master/Bachelor’s degree with preference for Information Systems or Computer Science as field of study

•     3+ years of experience in the development of web applications using JavaScript, HTML/CSS and server-side frameworks

•     5+ years of experience on the Mendix platform

•     Mendix Intermediate Developer Certification or Advanced Developer Certification
