Title and Summary

Manager, MVQ Product & GTM Enablement - CoreWho is Mastercard
Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments industry. Our mission is to connect and power an inclusive, digital economy that benefits everyone, everywhere by making transactions safe, simple, smart, and accessible. Using secure data and networks, partnerships, and innovation, we help individuals, financial institutions, governments, and businesses realize their greatest potential. Our culture of decency, integrity, and inclusion empowers our employees to make a difference in the world of payments every day.
Overview
The Manager, MVQ Product & GTM Enablement – Core is a key member of Mastercard’s enterprise Value Quantification team, responsible for driving the integration, enablement, and day-to-day adoption of Mastercard Value Quantification (MVQ) within our Core payments business. Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Value Quantification (with a dotted line to the Director, MVQ Program Execution & Enablement), this role serves as the single-threaded MVQ liaison for Core products (e.g., card payments, network services, processing). You will partner closely with Core Product teams, Sales, Pricing, Customer Success, and regional account teams to embed MVQ into Core product lifecycles and go-to-market motions. Your mission is to ensure that quantified customer value becomes a natural part of how our Core business designs, prices, sells, and demonstrates the impact of its offerings – strengthening Mastercard’s value proposition in the market.
Key Responsibilities
• Core Product Integration: Collaborate with Core Product managers and Data & Analytics teams to incorporate Core product value drivers, metrics, and customer outcomes into the MVQ platform. Ensure Core products have robust, up-to-date value models and ROI calculators that accurately reflect customer impact.
• Go-to-Market Enablement (Core): Develop and deliver targeted MVQ training and enablement for Core-aligned teams (Account Managers, Product Sales, Pricing, etc.). Create clear playbooks and example use-cases for leveraging MVQ in Core product pricing, RFP responses, business case development, and customer success reviews. Serve as the go-to MVQ expert for Core, providing “white glove” support on strategic deals and key customer engagements.
• Adoption & Usage Monitoring: Drive and monitor MVQ adoption across the Core business. Proactively engage with regional and market teams to promote MVQ use in account planning, sales pitches, and pricing decisions for Core products. Track usage metrics (e.g., number of MVQ analyses conducted for Core products) and gather feedback from users to identify adoption barriers or opportunities.
• Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Act as the voice of the Core business within the MVQ program. Communicate Core-specific needs, feature requests, and improvement ideas to the central MVQ team. Help refine MVQ methodologies and platform features by integrating field feedback and Core product insights, ensuring the solution evolves to better support Core’s business goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with MVQ peers and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach. Partner with the MVQ Manager for CNPF to share best practices and maintain consistency in methods. Coordinate with the central MVQ program leadership on governance decisions, platform updates, and program communications. Regularly brief Core product and commercial leadership on MVQ progress, success stories, and upcoming enhancements to secure their continued support.
Skills & Qualifications
• Experience & Domain Knowledge: 6–8+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, strategy, or consulting within the payments industry. Strong understanding of Core payments (e.g., card issuance, card networks, transaction processing, or related services) is highly preferred.
• Analytical & Financial Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze data and financial metrics. Experience with ROI modeling, business case development, or customer value analysis. Able to translate quantitative findings into clear insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Communication & Enablement: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in training or sales enablement. Comfortable presenting to and engaging with diverse audiences – from product teams and account managers to senior leaders. Able to simplify complex concepts and coach colleagues on using analytical tools effectively.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven track record of managing projects or initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering results on time. Familiarity with agile methodologies or structured program management is a plus.
• Collaborative & Proactive: A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Able to work independently while effectively collaborating across multiple teams and geographies. High level of adaptability, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new products and technologies.
Leadership Attributes
• Customer-Centric & Value-Driven: Passionate about helping teams demonstrate value to customers. Maintains a relentless focus on how Core products solve client challenges and deliver measurable benefits.
• Influential Connector: Skilled at building strong relationships and influencing others without formal authority. Leverages expertise and credibility to drive alignment and adoption of MVQ within the Core business.
• Results-Oriented & Accountable: Sets high standards for execution, takes ownership of outcomes, and is driven by tangible impact. Hands-on in addressing obstacles and ensuring that MVQ support translates into successful business results (e.g., improved sales effectiveness, value-based pricing wins).
• Innovative & Agile: Embraces innovation and continuous improvement. Quickly adapts to feedback from the field, iterating on processes and tools to better meet the needs of Core stakeholders.
• Integrity & Team Spirit: Exemplifies Mastercard’s values and Decency Quotient (DQ). Fosters an inclusive, collaborative environment where colleagues feel supported and enthusiastic about adopting new capabilities.
Success Measures
• Core Product Coverage: Key Core products successfully onboarded into the MVQ platform, with accurate value models and data that are maintained and used regularly.
• Adoption & Usage: Increasing utilization of MVQ for Core products – evidenced by more frequent MVQ-driven analyses in sales proposals, pricing reviews, and customer QBRs. High participation of Core teams in MVQ training sessions and positive feedback on the tool’s usefulness.
• Tangible Business Impact: Documented cases where MVQ support in the Core segment influenced positive outcomes (e.g., helping win a competitive RFP by showcasing ROI, supporting a value-based pricing strategy that improved deal economics, or reinforcing a renewal by demonstrating achieved value).
• Continuous Improvement: Implementation of enhancements or new features in the MVQ platform that address needs raised by Core teams. Recognition from Core product and sales leaders that MVQ is an integral, easy-to-use part of their go-to-market toolkit.
