Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement quality standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Identify, document, and track defects or issues
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, operations)
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Required SkillsStrong understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes
- Experience with manual and/or automated testing tools
- Knowledge of programming/scripting (e.g., Python, Java, SQL)
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in quality assurance or software testing
- Certifications like Six Sigma, ISTQB (optional but valuable)
- Tools & Technologies (may vary by role)Test management tools (JIRA, TestRail)
- Automation tools (Selenium, Cypress)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Version control (Git)
- Types of Quality EngineersSoftware Quality Engineer (focus on applications and systems)
- Manufacturing Quality Engineer (focus on production processes)
- Supplier Quality Engineer (focus on vendor quality)
