Job Description Summary:
The Senior Manager, Business Applications - Salesforce on the Global Business Applications team is responsible for managing a geographically distributed team of remote technical resources based across the United States, India, and Costa Rica, leading development of new features and functionality, enhancing application capabilities on Rocket’s critical back office systems and platforms, and day-to-day administration. Coordinates with the Director, Business Applications – Salesforce to determine goals for the technical team, and provides business and technical leadership for engineering, enhancing, and testing on the Salesforce platform.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Salesforce developers and administrators.
Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews and provide career development guidance.
Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute the roadmap for the Salesforce team managing the backlog (ticket intake and triage) and work prioritization (program increment / sprint planning).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Salesforce solutions meet business needs and align with company goals.
Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and trends to inform strategic decisions.
Project Management:
Oversee multiple Salesforce projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling for Salesforce projects.
Ensure adherence to best practices in project management and software development lifecycle.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
Implement and oversee robust QA processes for all Salesforce deployments.
Monitor system performance and security, ensuring high availability and compliance.
Manage risks and issue resolution in a timely and effective manner.
Stakeholder engagement:
Act as a key liaison between the IT department and business units.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Communicate project status and escalate issues to stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience providing leadership for Salesforce teams.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience of administration or development experience in a Salesforce environment.
Proven expertise in Salesforce CRM, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, Einstein Analytics, etc.
Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and limits
Strong leadership, decision-making, relationship management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated success in establishing, managing, and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Some knowledge of program increment planning (SAFe, etc.) or program sprint planning frameworks preferred.
Critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team oriented, collaborative, accountable and dependable.
Salesforce certifications are preferred.
