Civil Site Engineer

Overview

A Junior Civil Engineer assists in the planning, design, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects such as roads, buildings, bridges, and water systems. They typically work under senior engineers and gain hands-on experience in site work and project coordination.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and designing civil engineering projects
• Prepare drawings, layouts, and cost estimates
• Support site engineers in day-to-day construction activities
• Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets safety and quality standards
• Help in surveying land and analyzing data (soil, materials, etc.)
• Monitor project progress and report updates to senior engineers
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and building codes
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other team members
• Required SkillsBasic knowledge of civil engineering principles
• Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or Excel
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and time management
• Educational RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)
• Internship or training experience (preferred but not always mandatory)
• Work EnvironmentCombination of office work and on-site construction work
