Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly handle all sales inquiries (General Cargo, DG, Reefer, Special Equipment, DDU, DDP) via email and phone, including rate requests and updates.
- Maintain an enquiry log and provide daily updates on all incoming inquiries.
- Share vessel schedules as per client or agent requirements.
- Follow up on inquiries, obtain feedback on quoted rates, and incorporate market inputs.
- Negotiate rates with carriers based on target pricing and market conditions.
- Record and analyze inquiries in daily reports to strengthen carrier negotiation strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure faster responses and competitive pricing.
- Handle urgent rate quotation requests efficiently and within timelines.
- Expand and diversify the carrier network to reduce dependency on any single carrier.
- Monitor and evaluate carrier responsiveness and service quality.
- Achieve cost optimization targets, including up to 10% savings where feasible.
- Secure timely space releases from carriers.
- Provide regular updates to clients on services across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, and the USA.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication and timely service delivery.
- Control and minimize operational costs through efficient resource utilization.
- Oversee smooth and efficient execution of Sea Freight Operations.
- Review and approve carrier invoices; resolve discrepancies on the same day.
- Monitor shipments with month-end ETD / early next month ETD; verify rates, update agents, and take corrective actions.
- Ensure timely issuance of invoices to international agents.
- Respond promptly to agent escalations and proactively provide solutions.
