Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accountant cum HR Payroll and Operations Executive to manage our financial record-keeping, end-to-end payroll processing, and daily workplace operations. In this dual capacity, you will ensure our financial books are precise and compliant, our employees are paid accurately and on time, and our office operations run seamlessly.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent organizational capabilities to handle cross-departmental tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Accounting & Financial Management Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily financial records, including ledger accounts, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Invoicing & Reconciliation: Generate client invoices, track outstanding payments, process vendor invoices, and perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Expense Management: Review, verify, and process employee expense claims and company operational expenses.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Tax Compliance: Assist with tax filings, VAT/GST returns, and ensure compliance with local financial regulations.

  • 2. HR Payroll & CompliancePayroll Processing: Gather monthly attendance data, calculate gross/net salaries, deductions, bonuses, and overtime to process payroll accurately.

Statutory Compliance: Manage employee benefits administration and statutory contributions (e.g., PF, ESIC, TDS, or local equivalent retirement and tax deductions).

HRMS Management: Oversee and update employee profiles, leave balances, and payroll data within the Human Resource Management System (HRMS).

Onboarding & Offboarding: Handle the financial and operational aspects of employee onboarding (bank account setup, documentation) and offboarding (final settlement calculations).

  • 3. Office Operations & AdministrationOffice Maintenance: Manage office supplies, equipment inventory, and coordinate with vendors or building management for maintenance issues.
  • Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for financial, HR, and legal documents.
  • Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, utility providers, and software subscription management.
  • Team Support: Provide administrative support to management and assist in coordinating internal company events or meetings.
  • Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience handling combined responsibilities in accounting and HR administration/payroll.

Software Proficiency:

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Xero).
  • Familiarity with HRMS platforms and payroll software.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and Google Sheets.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and payroll compliance laws.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential financial and personnel data.
  • Sharp attention to detail with excellent time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with both vendors and team members.
