Civil Site Engineer

Key Roles

1. Site Supervision.

Supervise daily construction activities.

Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.

Monitor labour productivity and site progress.

2. Setting Out and Surveying

Perform site layout and marking.

Check levels, alignments, coordinates, and dimensions.

Verify that construction is carried out at the correct location and elevation.

3. Quality Control

Inspect construction materials and workmanship.

Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Conduct quality checks for concrete, masonry, reinforcement, and finishing works.

4. Project Coordination

Coordinate with project managers, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

Resolve technical issues on-site.

Attend site meetings and report project status.

5. Material Management

Estimate material requirements.

Monitor material consumption and stock levels.

Verify delivered materials meet quality requirements.

6. Safety Management

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site procedures.

Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks.

Identify and mitigate site hazards.

7. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain daily progress reports.

Record site activities, inspections, and material usage.

Prepare measurement sheets and work completion reports.

8. Quantity Verification

Measure completed work quantities.

Assist in preparing bills and contractor payments.

Verify quantities against drawings and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).

Checking reinforcement before concreting.

Ensuring proper curing and quality control.

Coordinating manpower and equipment.
