As we aggressively scale our footprint, we are looking for a high-growth leader to own and execute our strategic partnerships with India’s banking sector.
Role Overview
As the Business Head of Banking Partnerships, you will be the driving force behind our alliances with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions. This is a highly entrepreneurial, hands-on role. You will own the entire lifecycle of banking relationships—from opening doors and negotiating commercial terms to managing API integrations and driving on-ground merchant acquisition through our banking partners.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation: Proactively pitch, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships with private banks, small finance banks, and cooperative banks to expand Knockpay’s network.
End-to-End Account Management: Act as the primary growth engine for existing banking alliances, ensuring high engagement, regular reviews, and maximum product penetration.
Cross-Functional Delivery: Work closely with our internal product, tech, and operations teams to streamline bank integrations, onboarding workflows, and terminal deployments.
Volume Driving: Collaborate with bank field teams to push Knockpay’s POS and Soundbox solutions directly to their merchant base, driving transactional volume.
Market Intelligence: Track regulatory shifts (RBI guidelines) and competitor landscapes to continuously refine our partnership value proposition.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 5 to 6 years of proven track record in Corporate Alliances, Strategic Partnerships, or B2B Business Development within the Fintech, Digital Payments, or Merchant Acquiring sectors.
Bank Liaison Skills: Strong existing relationships or comfort dealing with mid-to-senior management within banking product or alliance teams.
Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of how payment ecosystems work—merchant acquisition, POS/Soundbox deployment mechanics, and payment gateways.
Execution Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and prefers execution over pure delegation.
Location: Based out of or willing to relocate to Thane.
