Job Purpose: Executive - BIM is responsible for assisting with developing comprehensive BIM models, conducting clash detection, generating accurate construction documentation, ensuring compliance with BIM standards, analyzing BIM data, and supporting the integration of BIM with advanced construction technologies to ensure precise and efficient project execution.

Developing BIM Models:

Assist in developing comprehensive Building Information Models by creating detailed 3D models that accurately represent architectural, structural, and MEP systems, ensuring all elements are precisely aligned with project specifications to reflect design changes, material selections, and construction progress.

Assisting in Clash Detection:

Assist in conducting clash detection using advanced BIM tools to identify and resolve conflicts between different building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations, before construction begins, reducing the likelihood of costly rework during construction.

Document the clash resolution process to provide a clear record of the modifications made, ensuring that the final construction documents reflect a fully coordinated and clash-free design.

4D and 5D Modeling:

Create and manage 4D models by integrating the construction schedule with the 3D model to simulate the project timeline, sequence of operations, and resource allocation.

Develop 5D models by incorporating cost data into BIM to track project budgets, generate cost estimates, and analyze cost variances.

Continuously update 4D and 5D BIM models to ensure alignment with real-time construction progress and financial planning.

Generating Construction Documentation from BIM Models:

Generating detailed construction documentation, including plans, sections, and elevations, directly from the BIM models, ensuring all documents are accurate and consistent with the latest design changes involving extracting precise quantities and dimensions to aid in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimates.

Ensuring regular update of the documentation to reflect ongoing changes within the BIM model.

Assist in Maintaining BIM Standards and Protocols:

Assist in maintaining strict adherence to BIM standards and protocols, such as those outlined in the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), ensuring all models and associated data meet project and industry requirements including following naming conventions, file organization structures, and data exchange formats to facilitate smooth collaboration and data management. Support the quality department conducting audits and record non-conformance.

Generating BIM Data Reports:

Generating comprehensive reports that that can inform design decisions, construction planning, and lifecycle management including analyzing spatial data, material properties, and system performance to optimize building design and operational efficiency. Analyse and summarize the findings of the BIM data analysis for stakeholder review. Prepare validation reports for milestone BIM package submissions.

Supporting BIM Integration with Other Technologies:

Supporting the integration of BIM with other advanced construction technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance project visualization and planning & ensuring that BIM data is compatible with these technologies and that it can be seamlessly transferred between platforms.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional:

Revit for Architectural Design, Building Information Modeling (BIM) Certification from RICS School of Built Environment, and Building SMART International BIM certification.

Work Experience:

3-5 years of experience in BIM or a related role

Practical experience in using BIM software and managing BIM projects, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sector, is essential.

Hands-on experience with BIM tools and software

Familiarity with tools like Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Grasshopper, Synchro, and BIM 360 is crucial for effectively creating, managing, and analyzing digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of airport facilities. Shall be familiar with ISO 19650 standards and implementation in the project.
